Synopsis

Da Peng is a former tv star and sees himself forced to accept a movie deal from a gangster boss, WANG Hai, who wants Da Peng to produce the film. Trouble ensues when he is involved in an incident that ruins his reputation and causes him to lose Wang Hai’s investment. However, Da Peng promises him he will be able to finish the film and proceeds to shoot a superhero movie about Jian Bing Man (or Pancake Man). As he cannot afford to hire any well-known actors and has limited resources at hand, he resorts to secretly filming famous actors whom he gets to unknowingly act out scenes from the movie script. Will Da Peng’s film be successful?
