Synopsis
During the Tang dynasty’s era of Emperor Taizong, Xuan Zang, a young Buddhist monk, in his quest to learn more about Buddhism, embarks on a journey to India. He encounters his fair share of perils and dangers, but manages to make his way through these difficulties. When he finally arrives in India, Xuan Zang studies Buddhism in earnest. After many years, he returns to China with Buddhist relics and scriptures, helping Buddhism be spread and passed down to future generations.
