“The Glamor of Dance” Ballet Performance

On Monday, September 9, the Center will host the Shanghai Ballet for their performance of “The Glamor of Dance”.

In this special performance of “The Glamor of Dance” on September 9, the Shanghai Ballet offers a taste of Shanghai-style art to the Belgian audience in the China Cultural Center in Brussels. This evening is a celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The ballet performance is directed by the Shanghai Ballet’s director and national first-class performer, Ms. XIN Lili. Filled with the originality of the company and its unique artistic style, the program unveils the creative power of the Shanghai Ballet. These works are wonderful creations by the young generation of contemporary Chinese artists.

About the ballet company
In 1979, the Shanghai Ballet officially came into existence. With a history of forty years, this Shanghai-based ballet company has staged many works, including “The Butterfly Lovers” and “Swan Lake”. The Shanghai Ballet’s dancers have always impressed audiences with their talent and perfectionism. They have also distinguished themselves in various international dance competitions, winning a total of 52 medals.The Shanghai Ballet does not only tour nationwide, it also graces the stages of many countries and regions abroad. The company actively engages in cultural exchanges with local as well as international artists and companies.
