Among China’s extensive bird population, the crane is known for its elegance. This graceful creature has white feathers, a red crown on its head and a beautiful and elegant posture.

Cranes are monogamous animals and can live up to 20 to 30 years. Though it is cherished by the Chinese people, this longevity bird is endangered because its natural habitat is disappearing. There are only about 2000 left in the world.
