Shanghai Huai Opera Troupe

The Shanghai Huai Opera Troupe is here to accompany our celebrations of the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day on October 1. Huai Opera is a local opera genre with a history of more than 200 years. It originated in Jiangsu province and grew in popularity in neighboring regions, like Anhui province and Shanghai.

In 1953, the Shanghai Huai Opera Troupe was established, becoming an influential art troupe in the country. The troupe has staged a performance in Shanghai for passersby to enjoy. The audience could also participate in other folk activities that were organized. Let’s watch how it went!
