Vase from the Qing dynasty (Yongzheng period)

This olive-shaped vase dates from the Yongzheng period of the Qing dynasty. It is finely painted with peach branches and bats in fencai enamel.

As the symbols of prosperity and longevity, designs of peaches and bats are often seen on plates, but seldom on vases like this, let alone fencai enamel. This vase is the only piece of its kind that has been found.
