Week-long series of events to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival is an important traditional Chinese festival, representing humankind’s pursuit of reunion and harmony. This year, it is on October 1. To virtually celebrate, a week-long series of events is launched by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, the Network of International Culturalink Entities and the China Cultural Center in Brussels.

From September 28 to October 5, the Belgian and European audience can enjoy different kinds of activities. There are five main themes: Mid-Autumn Festival culture, heritage, contemporary China, travel and entertainment. Updates on the program will appear on our website and Facebook page!

As part of the online celebrations of the Mid-Autumn Festival, this beautifully animated video illustrates the origin, legend and customs of the festival, reflecting traditional Chinese cultural values and their contemporary role.
