Bird Pendant from the Ming Dynasty

This smooth jade pendant from the Ming dynasty (1368–1644) was carved into the shape of twin birds with simple yet vivid geometric patterns. It was in style to dangle delicate subjects like this at the handle end of folding fans as a décor for appreciation.
