“Musical Embrace in Spring” Concert by the Central Conservatory of Music

On April 30, 2025, the Concert in Belgium in Celebration of 2025 International Chinese Language Day “Musical Embrace in Spring” European Tour by the Central Conservatory of Music was successfully held in the China Cultural Center in Brussels. H.E. Fei Shengchao, Chinese Ambassador to Belgium attended and addressed the concert. Nearly 200 people from various sectors in Belgium who are passionate about Chinese culture attended the event.

Ambassador Fei Shengchao said that Chinese characters are not only the genetic code of Chinese civilization, but also a window for the world to understand China. Tonight’s concert uses music, which is another universal language that needs no translation, to convey the richness and vitality of traditional Chinese culture. We look forward to joining hands with Belgian artists to write new chapters of cultural diversity and collective prosperity through even more diverse creations.

This concert is hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Belgium and organized by the China Cultural Center in Brussels and the Confucius Institute of Liege. The concert program included not only traditional Chinese classics such as A Moonlit Night on the Spring River and The Moon Reflected on the Erquan Spring, but also innovative pieces like New Words of Dunhuang and Twin Towers. With the combination of Chinese folk music elements and modern Western compositional techniques, the fabulous performance won rounds of applause from the audience.
