Beijing roasted duck, or Peking duck, is a classic Chinese delicacy of worldwide renown. It originated in the Northern and Southern dynasties as a dish for the court.

The duck is roasted to be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Traditionally it is eaten sliced, but there are other ways to enjoy Peking duck, like duck soup or a feast of whole duck.
