“The Willow Duck” by Chen Peiqiu

Chen Peiqiu’s artistic roots are based on tradition, and the concept of innovation is relative – there is no new without the old.

She carefully studied the painting elements of traditional Chinese painting, using refined lines and traditional brush and ink, combined with the use of colors inspired by Western painting, to describe the texture, volume and dynamic of the scene.

The painting “The Willow Duck” is elegant and warm, with an upright brush, smooth ink color and clear weather. She added washes of ink, and used the colors in an extremely soft and tranquil way, fully expressing the agility of nature.
