Chinese New Year Parade in Brussels !

“The 2017 Chinese New Year Parade is the second of its kind ever to be held in Brussels, organised by the Chinese Embassy in Belgium, Brussels Municipal Government and the Chinese community in Belgium, and sponsored by the China Cultural Center in Brussels and Chinese enterprises such as ZTE, COSCO Shipping Lines, Anbang Group. The first parade in February 2016 attracted more than ten thousands people with enthusiastic participation!” (from the website of Chinese Embassy to Belgium).

Programme
Saturday, January 28th from 2PM to 6PM
The parade will start at 2.00PM from Brussels Grand Place. The itinerary will be as following : Grand-Place – Place de la Monnaie – Boulevard Anspaach – Bourse (cf. map of the parade). The Manneken Pis will be dressed up in Chinese traditional outfit for the occasion. The ending at Bourse will be highlighted by brilliant cultural and artistic performances ! The participants of the parade include local Chinese and Belgian artists, as well as art troupes from Shanghai and Shenzhen, totalling around 1,000 performers.

At the invitation of Dinant Municipal Government, the 2017 Chinese New Year Parade will also be extended to Dinant on January 29th, 2017.
